DUMI is a term of endearment that originated in the streets of Baltimore, MD, USA. Although the word "dummy" carries a negative connotation, DUMI Founders decided to change the narrative; DUMI "Don’t Underestimate My Intelligence". What started off as a clothing brand, has evolved over time to meet the needs of our community. We are dedicated to connectedness, community, and shifting culture through our programming for urban teens and young adults, community service initiatives, and apparel.

Staying true to the brand's origin, Baltimore, MD, the DUMI persona is a reflection of the city's personality; "Charm City," with a certain grittiness that is specific to the urban environment.

We offer programming for urban teens and young adults, community service initiatives, and apparel.
Our programs are catered around the needs of urban youth and teens, which include music production, sports & athletics, mentoring, and more.
Embedded within the DUMI logo is the African symbol, NYANSAPO, which represents the four phases of intelligence: wisdom, ingenuity, patience and intelligence. As the DUMI brand continues to evolve, so does our mindset, which is reflected in our programs and beliefs.
